Fetal Echocardiography

Fetal echocardiography is a specialised ultrasound examination of the unborn baby's heart. It may be recommended when there is a suspected heart abnormality, family history of congenital heart disease, maternal medical condition, abnormal screening result or other clinical indication. The study assesses the structure, rhythm and function of the fetal heart and can support planning for delivery and neonatal care when a cardiac condition is identified.

Fetal Neurosonogram

A fetal neurosonogram is a targeted ultrasound assessment of the fetal brain and central nervous system. It may be advised when a routine scan shows a possible brain or spinal abnormality or when the pregnancy has an increased risk of neurological anomalies.
