Neurorehabilitation

Neurological conditions can affect movement, balance, coordination, communication, swallowing, memory and the ability to carry out everyday tasks. The Neurorehabilitation programme at Apollo Adlux Hospital supports patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neuro-infections and neurological surgery, as well as those living with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other long-term neurological conditions. Each rehabilitation plan is based on the patient’s diagnosis, functional limitations, recovery stage and personal goals.

Treatment may include neurological physiotherapy, strength and balance training, walking practice, speech and language therapy and swallowing rehabilitation. Speech therapy supports patients with aphasia, dysarthria and other communication difficulties, while swallowing therapy helps reduce the risk of choking and aspiration in patients with dysphagia. Neurologists, rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists work together to monitor progress and help patients regain the highest possible level of function and independence.
