Peripheral arterial disease occurs when arteries supplying the legs or arms become narrowed due to atherosclerosis. Peripheral angiography identifies the location and severity of these blockages, while angioplasty restores blood flow using balloons and, when necessary, stents.

Our interventional cardiologists also perform infrapopliteal revascularisation, a specialised procedure to improve blood flow below the knee in patients with advanced peripheral arterial disease or diabetic foot complications. Restoring circulation helps relieve pain, promote wound healing and reduce the risk of limb loss.
