Renal Transplantation

The Renal Transplantation programme at Apollo Adlux Hospital provides comprehensive care for patients with end-stage kidney disease who are being considered for kidney transplantation. The programme supports adult and paediatric patients through the entire transplant journey, from donor and recipient evaluation to surgery, recovery and long-term follow-up.

Transplant services include living-donor kidney transplantation and deceased-donor kidney transplantation in eligible patients. Where clinically appropriate, robotic-assisted renal transplantation may be considered as a minimally invasive option. Comprehensive pre-transplant assessment includes medical evaluation, compatibility testing, crossmatch and HLA typing to assess donor-recipient suitability.

Following transplantation, patients receive structured monitoring, immunosuppression management and long-term nephrology follow-up to support graft function and overall health. The programme also supports paired kidney exchange and swap transplantation for eligible donor-recipient pairs where direct compatibility is not possible.

  • Adult and paediatric living-donor and deceased-donor transplantation
  • Robotic-assisted renal transplantation — smaller incisions, faster recovery
  • Pre-transplant workup, crossmatch, and HLA typing
  • Post-transplant immunosuppression and long-term follow-up care
  • Paired kidney exchange and swap programmes
