Special Urological Interventions

The Centre of Excellence in Urology & Nephrology also provides specialised interventions for uncommon, complex and difficult-to-manage urological conditions. These cases require detailed evaluation and coordinated care involving urologists, interventional radiologists, nephrologists and other specialists as required.

Treatment is available for conditions such as retroperitoneal fibrosis, which may cause compression or obstruction of the ureters and compromise kidney function. Patients presenting with hematuria or blood in the urine undergo comprehensive investigation to identify causes such as stones, infection, tumours, vascular abnormalities or other urinary tract conditions. In selected cases, embolisation may be used to control urinary tract bleeding.

The department also provides evaluation and surgical correction for genital anomalies, with treatment planned according to the patient's anatomy, symptoms and functional requirements. These specialised services support the management of complex urological conditions within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

  • Retroperitoneal fibrosis management
  • Hematuria investigation and embolisation
  • Genital anomaly correction
