The department provides specialised evaluation and treatment for urinary tract infections (UTIs) affecting the bladder, urinary tract and kidneys. Treatment is tailored according to the severity of infection, underlying medical conditions, microbiological findings and the patient's kidney function.

Care is provided for simple and complicated UTIs, recurrent urinary infections, urinary tract infections during pregnancy, catheter-associated infections, fungal UTIs and pyelonephritis or kidney infections. Patients with recurrent infections may undergo further evaluation to identify predisposing factors and receive preventive strategies aimed at reducing future episodes and complications.
