Dr. Biju Sukumaran Pillai brings 14 years of surgical experience and a particularly well-rounded urology skill set to Apollo Adlux Hospital. He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery at M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, before pursuing his DNB in Genito-Urinary Surgery at Medical Trust Hospital, Cochin and known for its hands-on surgical training. His expertise in managing kidney stones and urinary tract stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate conditions, urological cancers including kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer, urinary incontinence in both men and women, hypospadias and other congenital genitourinary conditions, male infertility and andrological disorders, urinary tract infections and recurrent UTIs, and end-stage renal disease requiring transplant evaluation is well known.

During his DNB training, Dr. Biju gained comprehensive, practical experience across renal transplant surgery, general urology procedures, Rezum water vapour therapy, hypospadias and reconstructive surgery, AV fistula surgery, endo-urology, and laparoscopic urology: a breadth of training that few urologists acquire this early in their careers. He went on to serve as Assistant Professor of Surgery (Urology) at M.P. Shah Medical College and spent over 11 years in practice at Lourdes Hospital, Kochi, building deep familiarity with the urological health needs of patients across Kerala.

This combination of academic teaching experience and over a decade of hands-on hospital practice means Dr. Biju is equally comfortable managing routine urological care and more complex reconstructive or transplant cases.
