Overview

Dr. Rajesh Gopalakrishna specialises in the conditions that effects liver, pancreas, and bile duct, some of the hardest problems in gastroenterology to diagnose early and treat well. With more than 16 years of experience, he combines an Indian medical training (Calcutta University, postgraduate work in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology) with two prestigious international fellowships that shaped his specialised skill set: the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology Research Fellowship in Tokyo (2011) and the Commonwealth Academic Fellowship at University College Hospital, London (2014).

International training is reflected in his clinical focus today, early diagnosis and intervention in liver and pancreaticobiliary cancers, and advanced endoscopic techniques including ERCP, EUS, cholangioscopy, and image-enhanced endoscopy. Dr. Gopalakrishna is also a respected academic voice in Indian gastroenterology.
