Dr. Subha Kurian have, over more than 12 years of practice, she trained entirely within Kerala's government medical college system, a path known for its sheer clinical volume and rigour. Her MBBS is from Government Medical College, Kozhikode, and she went on to complete her MS in Ophthalmology at Government Medical College, Thrissur, institutions that exposed her early to a wide and often complex case mix. She later added a Fellowship in Medical Retina from AIMS, sharpening her focus specifically on diabetic retinopathy and other retinal disorders that demand long-term, evidence-led management rather than a single intervention.

As a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Apollo Adlux Hospital, Angamaly, Dr. Subha Kurian  works closely with the hospital's endocrinology and diabetology teams, since diabetic retinopathy is rarely an isolated eye problem, it's usually one part of a larger metabolic picture.
