Our Emergency Department provides 24x7 specialist care for all medical and surgical emergencies — including chest pain and heart attacks, stroke, polytrauma, road traffic accidents, head injuries, spine injuries, burns, snake bites, poisoning, pediatric emergencies, obstetric emergencies, respiratory failure, severe infections, and psychiatric emergencies. Adult and paediatric patients are all managed within our Emergency facility.

Yes. Apollo Adlux Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Centre — the highest level of trauma care. This means we have a dedicated Advanced Trauma Care Team on-site 24x7, immediate access to all trauma surgical specialties, a trauma resuscitation bay, and integrated blood bank with Massive Transfusion Protocol capability. We are equipped to manage the most complex polytrauma cases including traumatic brain injuries and vascular injuries.

ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) is an advanced life-support technology that takes over the function of the heart and/or lungs in patients who have failed conventional treatment. Yes — Apollo Adlux Hospital offers both Veno-Venous (VV) ECMO for refractory respiratory failure and Veno-Arterial (VA) ECMO for cardiogenic shock. Critically, we also offer ECPR (ECMO-supported cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for selected refractory cardiac arrest cases — and ECMO Retrieval services to transfer ECMO-dependent patients from peripheral hospitals to our centre.

Apollo Adlux Hospital has a dedicated Acute Stroke Care pathway. Patients presenting with stroke symptoms receive immediate neurological assessment, brain imaging, and, where appropriate, intravenous thrombolysis (clot-dissolving medication) within 60 minutes. For large vessel occlusion strokes, we offer Mechanical Thrombectomy — endovascular retrieval of the clot — which can restore blood flow and significantly improve outcomes. Our Cath Lab and Neuro-intervention team are available 24x7.

We operate Level-D Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances equipped with cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, and medications. Our dedicated Emergency Retrieval Team is capable of inter-facility transfer of critically ill patients, including those on mechanical ventilation, IABP, or ECMO. We also offer telemedicine consultation to guide emergency management at peripheral hospitals before and during transfer.

Apollo Adlux uses an ESI (Emergency Severity Index)-based triage system. Critically ill and high-acuity patients (ESI 1 and 2) are seen immediately upon arrival — often within 1 to 5 minutes. A dedicated Fast-Track service is available for lower-acuity presentations to minimise waiting times across the department.

Yes. Our Emergency complex has an integrated Radiology Suite with X-ray, CT Scan, MRI, and Ultrasound — available 24x7 without the need to transfer patients to a separate building. We also have an on-site Blood Bank with round-the-clock access to blood products, including activation of Massive Transfusion Protocol for major haemorrhage.

Yes. Our Emergency Department has significant experience in toxicological emergencies including snake bites and envenomation, organophosphate and pesticide poisoning, drug overdose, and corrosive ingestion. We have rapid access to antidotes, antivenom, and plasma exchange (PLEX) for severe envenomations and toxin-mediated conditions.

Yes. Our Emergency Department provides dedicated Neonatal and Paediatric Emergency services, including paediatric advanced airway management, paediatric advanced life support (PALS), and immediate access to Paediatric Surgery and Neonatology. Obstetric and gynaecological emergencies are also managed within the department.

Call our emergency number 1066 immediately or bring the patient to our Emergency Department as quickly as possible. Do not wait. Our Acute Coronary Care Unit has direct 24x7 access to the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory for primary angioplasty (PCI), which is the gold standard treatment for heart attacks. Our emergency physicians will begin assessment and treatment the moment the patient arrives — every minute of delay increases heart muscle damage.
