For simple inguinal hernias, standard laparoscopy is entirely adequate. However, for complex, recurrent, bilateral, or large hernias, robotic repair offers advantages: superior depth perception, better mesh positioning, and the ability to perform intracorporeal suturing for peritoneal closure — all of which reduce recurrence rates and post-operative discomfort.

Most colorectal cancers — including sigmoid colon, descending colon, rectum, and rectosigmoid junction — are suitable for robotic surgery. Its use depends on the type of surgery and the surgeon's clinical assessment.
