The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Apollo Adlux Hospital provides surgical care for conditions affecting the heart, lungs, chest and major blood vessels. Our surgeons work with cardiologists, cardiac anaesthesia specialists, intensivists, perfusionists, nurses and rehabilitation professionals to plan care before, during and after surgery. Led by MCh (CTVS) and DNB-qualified surgeons with training from premier institutions, our CTVS team is equipped to perform the full spectrum of open and minimally invasive cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
The department is supported by a dedicated cardiac operating theatre, CTVS critical-care facilities, specialist cardiac anaesthesia and ECMO support ensuring comprehensive perioperative care for every patient. We offer safer techniques, minimally invasive approaches, faster recovery, and improved outcomes. Our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) team offers comprehensive surgical care for coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, congenital heart defects, rhythm disorders and complex redo cardiac surgeries. Every treatment plan is personalised after detailed evaluation by a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive the most appropriate surgical option based on their condition and overall health.
Our thoracic surgeons provide comprehensive surgical care for diseases affecting the lungs, chest wall, pleura and mediastinum. Whenever appropriate, minimally invasive Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) is used to reduce postoperative pain, shorten hospital stay and support faster recovery.
