HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) is an advanced laser procedure for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Compared to TURP (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate), HoLEP offers less bleeding, shorter catheterisation time, quicker hospital discharge, fewer chances of recurrence, and is suitable for very large prostates where TURP may not be ideal. PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy) is a minimally invasive keyhole procedure to remove large or complex kidney stones (typically larger than 2 cm) that cannot be managed by shockwave therapy or ureteroscopy alone. Under general anaesthesia, a small puncture is made in the back to access the kidney directly, and the stone is broken and removed through a small nephroscope. Apollo Adlux performs PCNL using the most advanced flexible nephroscopes with excellent stone-clearance rates.

The Andrology department offers a comprehensive male fertility evaluation including semen analysis, hormonal profiling, scrotal and transrectal ultrasound, and genetic testing. RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery) uses a flexible ureteroscope inserted through the natural urinary passage to laser-fragment stones within the kidney — with no external incision. It is ideal for stones typically under 2 cm in the kidney. PCNL involves a small back puncture and is preferred for larger (>2 cm) or multiple stones.
